What I Do
Strategy & Design
Combining my background across business strategy, technology, and experience design, I help organizations discover, design, and deliver new human-centered products and services.
Workshops & Talks
I offer interactive workshops and presentations (in-person and virtual) to audiences interested in social innovation and new ways to understand societal issues through design.
Coaching
I’m certified in Tiny Habits Coaching from Dr. BJ Fogg (Stanford University), a leader in behavioral science, and use these principles to help people create and maintain fulfilling lifestyles.
Guiding Principles
Beyond “what we do” is “how we do it.”
Lead with Empathy
Seek to understand the people, institutions, and cultural norms at hand
Be Curious
Approach each challenge with an open mind and explore all aspects of the given situation
Co-Create Inclusively
Develop consensus and collaboratively build with - not for - all relevant stakeholders
Design Holistically
Recognize and address the environment and full experience of the people engaged
Workshops & Talks
I’ve spoken internationally on topics related to, and intersecting with design, including wellbeing, diversity, and social impact. I’m available for in-person and virtual events.
Sample Topics
Life Design: Reimagine your Today
Products, services, experiences - they’re all designed. From the apps on your phone to work meetings. But who’s designing your day? While we can’t control all our obligations, we have more power than we realize over the routines and mindsets that drive our daily experience. When it comes to our lives, we are the user, designer, and product.
Designing for Community Wellness
In a world prioritizing the ‘me,’ we consider wellbeing as largely an individual practice. But how might we co-create a new vision for inclusive self care? We’ll explore design thinking for good, social change roles, and exercises you can begin applying for yourself and your communities.
The Dance Between U & I: User Needs with Interface Design
Are we creating a more siloed, user-focused - but socially-neglected - environment? We'll discuss the evolution of "interfaces" - from the first cave paintings to Alexa and wearables - and explore where we're going to understand how we can be more mindful about balancing user needs with the changing role interfaces are playing in society.
